The National Center for Education Research and Technology (NCERT) has a long-standing relationship with The Total Compensation Group (TCG), a leading provider of financial services to school districts and superintendents. Our members are very familiar with two of the principals from TCG, Mike Cochran and John Pesce, from their long-standing association with NCERT. Mike and John have recently launched TCG Global, a new initiative that offers affordable education solutions for instruction in Mandarin Chinese as a second language. The program leverages educational and technological innovation to provide American school children with access to courses in Chinese as a Foreign Language taught by native Mandarin speakers who are certified to teach in the United States.

NCERT is proud to announce that we are in the process of developing a partnership with TCG Global that, among other things, will allow our members to travel to Beijing and other locals in China next summer (2010). A group of American high school students will visit China for a month of language, cultural and other experiences. Our initial plan is to have our trip overlap with the student trip so that our members will have an opportunity to observe and interact with the American students on their learning journey. More information will be provided as it develops.
